We're looking for a smart, friendly, creative and unflappable Account Manager to nurture existing relationships and grow new opportunities. You'll be the go-to person for the client, ensuring best-in-class strategy, execution and reporting across the board.

Where does this job fit into the organisation?

The Account Manager will join our Client Service team and will be the go-to person for clients to maintain a consistent and positive relationship. They will represent the Hex team and communicate our ideas, services and approach whilst demonstrating our passion for our clients’ businesses and genuine interest in their success.

The Account Manager will work closely with our Delivery team to ensure we deliver best-in-class strategy, execution and reporting across the board. Growing new opportunities from existing accounts, the Account Manager will also work closely with our New Business department on new client pitches and business development.

How many projects/clients will I be working on at a time?

We actively work with a range of clients, covering large product-focused work, smaller digital and print design projects and monthly retainers for both established names and marketplace challengers. You will be working across a cross section of these client accounts and it is possible you will work on between 2-3 medium/large sized single projects and between 3-5 smaller retained accounts.

What is the hardest part of this job?

Spinning plates. You will need to expertly and calmly balance the demands of multiple clients, accounts and integrated digital strategies whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced industry where things can change with little notice. There’s a great opportunity to develop your client handling skills and get your teeth into some juicy creative problem solving.

Job requirements

What we absolutely need you to do:

  • Minimum 2-3 years full service digital agency experience including at least 1-2 years as an Account Manager

  • Proven 360° digital experience

  • Must have experience with website design and build projects, and performance marketing

  • Be a brand and digital guardian for nominated clients, helping to develop and drive new strategies to help clients to help meet their business objectives, demystifying any complex solutions with ease

  • Respond to new client briefs and engage with relevant internal department teams (design, delivery, engineering, marketing)

  • Lead valuable status updates and client meetings

  • Strive for excellence in Hex output, championing Hex process and procedure

  • Broaden clients’ understanding of their customers, markets and challenges

  • Support the delivery team to ensure timely, top-quality delivery

  • Support the wider client services team with research, analysis and insight

  • Produce compelling, insightful reports and presentations

  • Identify growth opportunities (upsell / cross sell) for clients

  • Contribute to new business pitches

  • Manage contracts and commercial agreements

£40-50k depending on experience
